The back extension added a larger living space, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and internal laundry. The backyard also received a facelift with the addition of a cabana, garage, and pool.

Haberfield, Yasmar Avenue

This single-storey extension blends seamlessly with a beautiful heritage Haberfield home – designed and built by the Home Impact team. We’ve kept the original heritage charm with high ceilings and detailed cornices, while introducing modern elements that make the home more functional for today’s lifestyle. Haberfield, Alt Street

The existing house was a dated building in a heritage conservation area which, over the years, had several alterations carried out. As a result, the interior was dark and had no direct connection to the backyard. The exterior had a number of additions that had watered down the charming period features of the front façade.

Home Impact was approached by the owners, a young couple with a growing family, to design and construct alterations and additions to the house. After successfully negotiating the development application through Council, we then went through an intensive, detailed design process with the owners. The result is a light-filled house with an open-plan rear addition with excellent connection to the backyard and new swimming pool.

Croydon, Hammond Avenue

This unique single storey extension seamlessly integrates a split-level design, creating a distinct transition between the old and new sections of the home. The thoughtfully designed partition preserves the character of the existing structure while enhancing functionality and modern appeal.

Newtown, Fulham Street

A large freestanding Victorian residence, this home’s traditional elements were renovated and existing features reinstated. The client’s brief (for the rear addition) asked for a contemporary timber structure, allowing the extension to weather naturally. This enabled us to clear delineation between old and new.
